Santa Teresita Annual Gala 2014Salon Aguayo is proud to support Santa Teresita’s Annual Gala event on Saturday October 25, 2014. Friends and benefactors of Santa Teresita will come together to celebrate the Annual Gala, an evening which raises much needed funds while showcasing all that Santa Teresita has to offer in senior assisted living and skilled nursing. Santa Teresita offers holistic care that engages senior residents physically, mentally and spiritually. Methodist Hospital Foundation for NursesWomen Investing in Nurses at Methodist Hospital sponsored a tea to support scholarships for nurses on September 28. The event was held at Arcadia Community Center and was attended by 150 supporters. Each of the 18 tables had a different theme. Salon Aguayo was honored to be a part of this foundation. They raised over $25,000 for the nurses! Great work!

The Sugar Plum TreeThe Sugar Plum Tree project has been able to bring holiday cheer to more than 450 local foster children who live in residential treatment centers or group homes to emancipated youth in the San Gabriel Valley. Salon Aguayo is honored to be a part of such an amazing organization!
Junior League of PasadenaSalon Aguayo is proud to support The Junior League of Pasadena. In April 2015, the Junior League of Pasadena, will host the second-annual Simply Speaking, a fundraising event – with keynote speaker, luncheon and silent auction. The funds raised from this event directly benefit the League’s mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers!
New Talent EducationFebruary 2nd 2015, we had a first in Salon Aguayo history, Sarah Green, who began her career assisting for owner Joseph Aguayo, researched, structured and taught a balayage class to our staff. This is a fantastic example of how our salon stays current on new techniques in our ever-changing industry!
Hillsides 2015 Charity GalaHillsides, a premier provider dedicated to improving the overall well-being and functioning of vulnerable children, youth, and families, raised more than $490,000 from its annual gala, Hillsides Uncorked! Held on Saturday night, Fed. 28, at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena. A sold-out crowd of 425 enjoyed an evening devoted to fine wine and food that included a live auction hosted by NBC4 weatherman Fritz Coleman, a moving speech by a former Hillsides resident, and dancing. The gala was co-hosted by local restaurateurs Robert and Deborah Simon, owners of Pasadena restaurants Bistro 45 and a/k/a Bistro. They collaborated with The Langham executive chef Denis Depoitre to create a delicious menu of fresh and sustainable organic meats, produce, and seafood. Salon Aguayo had the pleasure of glamming up Deborah for the Hillsides 2015 Charity Gala! Thank you to our amazing client Deborah Simon for giving us the opportunity to be part of this event!
